Mountain Sounds and
Valise are joining forces for a tour across the United States. With a shared affinity for melodious, intricate indie rock buoyed by thoughtful arrangements, the two form a natural pair. For a taste of both bands' sounds, a free tour sampler is available to download or stream here. Mountain Sounds is an international project with roots in Portland, Oregon and southern Guatemala. Their debut self-titled album, described by the Portland Mercury as a "lush, stately record of mellow pop and emotionally charged ballads," was released earlier this year to glowing reviews. After features in national publications like
Rolling Stone,
American Songwriter,
Relevant,
and Performer Magazine, and with a string of Central American dates under their belts, they look forward to spreading their unique sound even further as they head off on their first US tour.

Over the past two years, Dallas natives
Valise have secured their spot as one of indie rock's brightest up and comers. Their debut EP, "Dreamcatcher", was met with critical acclaim and their success on the Southeast touring circuit earned them opening spots for indie-darlings Lydia, Paper Route and The Dangerous Summer. They were recently named one of
AbsolutePunk's "Most Anticipated" bands, and with the new single, "Monster", out now, and their first full length record on the way, they're perfectly positioned to make the coming year their biggest yet.
